How is EarthSun different from humanism?
EarthSun shares humanism’s reliance on reason, compassion and ethics without required supernatural belief. It places stronger symbolic emphasis on the Sun, Earth, evolutionary belonging and ritual. It also deliberately extends moral attention beyond humans to other conscious animals and living systems.
A deeper answer
There are many humanisms, so this is a family resemblance rather than a sharp boundary. EarthSun should not misrepresent organisations that define themselves differently.
EarthSun’s position is bounded by the public Living Foundation. Where the approved record is incomplete, the correct response is to preserve the uncertainty rather than turn a plausible idea into doctrine.
EarthSun combines evidence-compatible ethics with nature-centred symbols.
