Reality before doctrine
No belief is protected from evidence, questioning or revision.
Humans belong to nature
Humans are animals, not beings placed outside or above the natural world.
Life developed through natural processes
EarthSun accepts evolution, deep time, physics, chemistry and continuing discovery.
Sun and Earth are meaningful symbols
Energy, matter, habitat, ancestry and home—symbolic relationships, not supernatural claims.
Human cooperation changed the planet
Language, knowledge, trust and shared abstractions let strangers coordinate at enormous scale.
Religions are human inheritance
Shared beliefs helped societies make meaning and coordinate life. They also carry the geography, history, power and limits of the people who formed them.
No asserted supernatural afterlife
EarthSun does not promise survival after death without credible evidence.
This life carries moral weight
Limits make time, relationships, conduct and consequences more important.
Reduce suffering and preserve possibility
Ethics must consider conscious animals, living systems and future generations.
Uncertainty is honest
“We do not know” is preferable to false certainty.
No infallible scripture or leader
Published principles retain a public revision history.
